We are constantly looking for products made from reprocessed waste materials. Their production reduces the waste going to landfill, whilst also reducing further drain on finite resources.

Waste is a huge problem in the UK, and our levels of recycling lag far behind other countries’. At Biome we look out for products made from recycled materials that otherwise would have gone to waste. Check out our “Adduco” glass vases, for example. They look great in their bright complementary colours, and they’re made 100% from post consumer glass waste.

Packaging waste is a particular problem in the UK. Most of the paper and packaging we use are themselves made from recycled materials.

This is particularly the case with our Christmas wrapping paper. The paper itself is 75% made from recycled waste paper, the printing ink is based on vegetable oil, and the printers themselves are dedicated to a “green” operation.
